Police investigate armed robbery at Pooraka, South Australia

A man carrying a handgun has robbed a Pooraka service station overnight.

Just before 4.30am on Friday 19 March, a motorcycle rider carrying a pillion passenger pulled into a service station on Bridge Road. The male pillion passenger dressed in a dark coloured hooded top, sunglasses, carrying a black handgun walked into the service station and demanded money.

The suspect was handed a small amount of cash from the till, he then walked out the shop and jumped onto the back of the waiting motorcycle, ridden by a male wearing a dark top and a silver coloured motorcycle helmet.

The motorcycle was last seen heading north on Bridge Road. Police patrols searched the area but the motorcycle or suspects weren't located.

There were no physical injuries to the service station staff member.
