Police investigate armed robbery at Rockhampton

Detectives are investigating the robbery of a licensed premises in Rockhampton this morning.

Around 2.30am yesterday two men wearing balaclavas entered the Upper Dawson Road business in possession of a large fast food takeaway bag, approached a staff member and demanded cash.

The men fled on foot with an amount of cash.

No one was injured during the incident.

Investigators are appealing for anyone with further information who were in the store shortly before the incident, to contact police.

Investigations are continuing.
