Police investigate armed robbery at Stapylton

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a man at Stapylton this morning.

Around 1.30am, a 43-year-old man and his 15-year-old son were sitting in his black VE Holden Commodore Clubsport sedan with no registration plates (pictured) on Henry Hester Drive, when a dark blue vehicle drove towards them with no headlights on.

Three males exited the dark-blue vehicle and approached the pair. One of the males lifted his shirt and displayed what appeared to be a firearm tucked into his belt.

The armed male has demanded the father and son exit the Commodore, before he got into the driver's seat and drove away. The two other males returned to the dark-blue vehicle and drove away.

No one was injured during the armed robbery.

Investigations continue.
