Police investigate armed robbery at Thuringowa Central

Police are investigating an armed robbery at a shopping centre car park in Thuringowa Central yesterday evening.

Around 6.55pm on January 8, a 39-year-old woman was in her Toyota Kluger with four passengers, aged 18, nine, four, and a toddler, when several people approached their vehicle.

They threatened the woman with rocks and demanded the vehicle.

The occupants removed themselves from the vehicle before the group entered and fled the area in the vehicle.

The vehicle was abandoned at 12.30am at Tenth Avenue, Railway Estate last night.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing, and police urge anyone with information or dashcam vision to contact police.
