Toowoomba police are appealing for public assistance after a woman was assaulted and robbed and her car stolen at Toowoomba yesterday afternoon (August 23).
A 35-year-old woman, out walking her two dogs, was approached by three teenage boys on Ruthven Street at around 5.20pm at the off-leash dog park.
The teens surrounded the woman and threatened her with sticks they picked up in the park, hitting her and pushing her to the ground.
They then stole her mobile phone, credit cards and car keys before fleeing in the woman's blue 2010 Audi A1 hatchback with Queensland registration 318-YKO (pictured).
The vehicle was damaged when the teenage driver reversed into a sandstone block, hitting the rear bumper.
The woman, who sustained minor injuries, was transported to Toowoomba Hospital.
The teenagers are described as being aged between 13 and 18. Two are described as Caucasian, approximately 160cms tall and wearing red jumpers. The other teen is described as Middle Eastern and wearing a red cap.
Police later located the mobile phone in Ruthven Street near the intersection with Pascoe Lane.
Anyone who witnessed the assault or has any information in relation to the whereabouts of the Audi or the identification of the teenagers, is urged to contact police.
