Police investigate armed robbery at Toowoomba East

Police are investigating an armed robbery in Toowoomba East yesterday.

Around 5.45pm, a man entered a pharmacy on Margaret Street with his face covered. He threatened staff with a knife and left with a quantity of prescription drugs.

He fled along Wendt Lane and was last seen in Kent Street.

The man is described as between 25-40 years of age, fair complexion and wearing a light-coloured jacket.

Investigators are urging anyone in the area who may have witnessed something or who may have CCTV or dash cam to contact police.
