Police investigate armed robbery at Upper Mount Gravatt

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a man at Upper Mount Gravatt yesterday afternoon.

Around 7.30pm a 20-year-old man was walking along Logan Road between the McDonald's restaurant and Klumpp Road when he was approached and assaulted by five men.

The men demanded cash before punching the victim, hitting him with the baseball bat several times, pushing him to the ground and stealing the money from his wallet.

They then fled the scene on foot.

The victim was transported to hospital to the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

There is a limited description of the men police are looking for, but they were wearing clothing wrapped around their faces.

Detectives are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information relevant to the investigation to come forward.
