Melbourne Embona Robbery Taskforce detectives are investigating following an assault and robbery in Docklands last month (25 November), Victoria Police say.
It was reported that a man was travelling west along the concourse near Harbour Esplanade when another man began to chase him about 2.20am.
Investigators were told the unknown offender then tackled the victim to the ground, causing him to lose consciousness.
While unconscious, the offender is believed to have gone through the victim’s pockets and has stolen an amount of cash from his wallet.
The unknown male has then fled west-bound on foot down Bourke Street.
Detectives have released images and CCTV of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
