Police investigate assault in CBD restaurant, South Australia

Police are investigating an aggravated assault in Gouger Street earlier this month where a man received serious injuries.

About 9.45pm on Sunday 17 March, three men were dining at Ba Guo Bu Yi restaurant on Gouger Street in the city. At this time an altercation occurred between this group and another group of men. A fight broke out inside the restaurant.

One man allegedly assaulted one of the victims, a 46-year-old man from New South Wales, with a sharp object causing a serious eye injury. The victim was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital by paramedics where he received medical treatment.

The suspect was last seen on Gouger Street.
