Police investigate assault in licensed premises in Richmond

Police are appealing for public assistance following an assault on a man at licensed premises in Richmond last month, Victoria Police say.

It is believed the victim was standing with friends on the second level of a bar in Swan Street about 12.30am on 21 May when he was approached by three males.

Following a conversation with one of the males, a scuffle has ensued and the victim has been repeatedly punched to the head.

The victim, a 25-year-old Rowville man, received non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Investigators have released images of three men who may be able to assist with their enquiries.

One of the males is described as being in his mid-20s, about 170cm, short dark hair and is perceived to be of southern European appearance, wearing a light coloured shirt, unbuttoned over a black tee shirt.

Another male is described as being in his mid-20’s, about 180cm, short light brown hair, Caucasian in appearance, wearing a grey tee shirt, with a half sleeve tattoo on his upper right arm.

A third male is described as being in his mid-20’s, about 175cm, short light brown hair, Caucasian in appearance, wearing a white button up shirt.
