Police investigate Bacchus Marsh theft

Bacchus Marsh police are investigating a theft from a sporting store in the Village Shopping Centre in March.

The incident happened at the Main Street sporting store when a woman entered the shop just before midday on 13 March.

The woman told staff members that she had an amount of money to spend on sport clothes and walked around the store selecting various items from the shelves.

The woman attempted to leave the store without paying when a staff member grabbed at the clothing in the woman's arms, causing her to drop most of the merchandise on to the ground.

The woman still managed to run off with two Addidas hoodies and a Puma jacket.

The woman is described as having a slim build, perceived to be of Caucasian appearance with blonde hair tied up in a bun.

Investigators have released an image of a woman they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

Anyone with any information about the theft is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
