Police investigate Black Rock and Hampton burglaries

Glen Eira Bayside Crime Investigation Unit are investigating a series of burglaries which occurred in Black Rock and Hampton early last month, Victoria Police say.

On Wednesday 10 May just after midnight, a man has attempted to gain entry to a business located near the corner of Mills and Hampton Streets, Hampton.

The man has broken the glass door and reached in to gain entry however he was unsuccessful.

On the same night, the same male has attempted to gain entry to rear door of a pizza shop on Hampton Street but was again unsuccessful.

This man was wearing a white cap, light-colour zip-up hoodie with ‘86’ on the front, light-coloured tracksuit pants and runners.

Police are also investigating three further incidents on the same night believed to have been committed by the same offender and two other unknown males.

Between 2am and 4am, three males have gained entry to three Beach Road, Black Rock business and removed various electronic items and a quantity of cash.

The first male was wearing a dark-coloured hoodie with the number ‘86’ or ‘96’ on the front; the second male was wearing a white trucker cap, light-coloured zip-up hoodie with dark strings, light-coloured pants and sneakers; and the third male was wearing a trucker cap backwards, white coat, jeans and sneakers.
