Police investigate booze bus incident - Malvern East

Police are appealing for public assistance following an incident last weekend where six motorcycles sped through a booze bus site in Malvern East, Victoria Police say.

A booze bus site on the Monash Freeway, just west of Warrigal Road, was being packed up about 5.15am on Sunday, 19 March.

As police were on the roadway closing the site, a motorcyclist rode through at an estimated speed of about 200km/h.

Five other motorcyclists then followed, all of them speeding and many riding on one wheel.

It’s believed the motorcycles did not have number plates fixed to them.

Police from Prahran Highway Patrol are investigating the incident and are appealing for anyone with knowledge of the riders or any motorists who saw them in the area that morning, to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
