Police are appealing for public assistance and are hoping to identify a man after a woman was indecently assaulted at a Box Hill shopping centre last month, Victoria Police say.
Police have been told a 22-year-old woman was at a shopping centre on Main Street about 10.20am on Wednesday 20 September.
It is believed a man walked past her and then indecently assaulted her near a confectionary store.
The victim was then followed by the same man and again indecently assaulted, this time at a supermarket within the complex.
The man is perceived to be of Asian appearance, aged in his 30s and 185cm tall.
He was wearing a distinctive red and white checked long sleeved shirt, a black vest zipped up and black pants.
Detectives from Box Hill Sexual Offences Crime Investigation Team (SOCIT) are investigating and have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
