Police are investigating a hit and run collision which occurred in Broadmeadows this morning.
Officers have been told a white Toyota Corolla crashed into the rear of a 4WD in the east bound lanes of the Western Ring Road near Pascoe Vale Road about 4.40am on 18 January.
The Corolla then crashed into a barrier and caught fire.
Investigators have been told the occupants of the Corolla were quickly picked up by another vehicle and left the scene.
The occupants of the 4WD were not injured in the collision.
