Police investigate burglary and deceptions in St Kilda

Port Phillip Crime Investigation Unit is investigating a burglary and subsequent deceptions in St Kilda earlier this month, Victoria Police say.

Investigators believe an unknown offender broke into the victim’s house on Westbury Grove, St Kilda, between 10am and 4.30pm on Thursday 1 September.

While inside the man has stolen credit cards and a small amount of cash.

The victim’s bank cards were later used to make at total of five purchases at a number of businesses between Thursday 1 September and Saturday 3 September.

-A service station on Somerton Road, Roxburgh Park;

-Twice at a clothing store on King Street, Melbourne;

-A service station on Plenty Road, Bundoora;

-A supermarket on Mahoney’s Road, Campbellfield;

Investigators have released a CCTV image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
