Police investigate Camberwell jewellery store burglary

Boroondara Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a burglary at a jewellery store in Camberwell overnight.

Officers believe three unknown male offenders arrived at a Burke Road business in a grey Toyota Corolla between 3.20am and 3.36am on 11 August.

The vehicle, believed to have cloned number plates, was first seen in the vicinity of the store about 3.10am, before leaving the scene minutes later.

It is believed the vehicle returned about 3.18am, before the males forced entry to the business via the locked front door.

The trio then worked their way through the store, damaging various glass display cabinets before stealing a large amount of jewellery, valued at over $80,000.

Investigators have released CCTV footage and images of three males they believe may be able to assist with their enquires.

All three males wore black clothing, face coverings and gloves.
