Police investigate car into tree in Oakleigh East

Police and emergency services responded to reports of a serious crash in Oakleigh East this morning (29 June).

Investigators have been told the dark coloured Nissan sedan was travelling east on Dandenong Road when its believed the driver did a U-turn near the Clayton Road intersection and lost control and crashed into a tree about 1.40am.

The driver of the vehicle, a Cranbourne North man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

His 32-year-old male passenger from Pakenham was taken to hospital for observation.

The exact cause of the crash is yet to be determined and the investigation remains ongoing.
