Police investigate carjacking at Seven Hills

Investigations are underway following a carjacking in Sydney's west overnight.

Police have been told about 1am (Saturday 8 August 2020), a 41-year-old rideshare driver had just finished changing a flat tyre on his Toyota Camry at the intersection of Lucreatia Road and Mackenzie Boulevard, Seven Hills, when he was approached by two unknown men.

The men threatened the driver, before stealing his vehicle, which was last seen driving east along Metella Road. The man was uninjured.

As his mobile phone was in the vehicle, the man walked to a nearby licensed premises and contacted police.

Officers from Blacktown Police Area Command attended and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Police would like to speak with two men who may be able to assist with inquiries, who are only described as being of Caucasian appearance, both with short beards, one wearing a hooded jumper and the other a jacket – both dark in colour.

The vehicle is a white 2013 Toyota Camry with NSW registration BU58LC.
