Police investigate Carnegie burglary

Glen Eira Bayside Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following a burglary in Carnegie earlier this month, Victoria Police say.

It is believed a man entered an underground car park on Mimosa Road and forced open numerous storage boxes shortly after 1am on 6 May.

It is understood various items were stolen.

The male offender was disturbed by residents at the property and left, returning a short time later to grab more stolen goods he had left behind.

The man, described as in his late 20s, is perceived to be of Caucasian appearance and about 183cm tall.

He was wearing a black hooded jumper, grey t-shirt, black pants and brown boots.

The man fled the scene on an orange bike, possibly stolen from the bike storage cage in the complex.

Police have released CCTV and images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
