Police Investigate Churchill Pub Arson

Latrobe Crime Investigation Unit detectives have released CCTV footage as they continue to investigate an arson attack at a pub in Churchill two months ago.

It is understood two offenders broke into the licensed premises just before 5am on Tuesday, 13 May.

They poured accelerant and deliberately set the building alight.

No one else was inside at the time of the incident and the fire caused significant damage.

Police were told the offenders fled the scene.

No arrests have been made at this stage.

Detectives have released CCTV footage of two men who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

The first man is described as wearing a light-coloured hooded top, dark-coloured track pants, dark-coloured runners and black gloves.

The second man is described as wearing a light-coloured hooded top, dark-coloured track pants, dark-coloured runners, black gloves and was carrying a light-coloured satchel.
