Police investigate college break in at Gladstone Park

Hume Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for witnesses following a theft at a secondary college in Gladstone Park last week, Victoria Police say.

The incident happened at the Taylors Road college on Wednesday 1 March when a man entered the school grounds early in the morning.

The man, who had his face covered with clothing, approached the Year 12 lockers located outside the school building and broke into about 40 lockers.

Items stolen from the lockers included scientific calculators, numerous text books, work books and other academic supplies.

The offender also stole a hearing aid, valued at $2000, which belonged to one of the students.

At the time of the theft the offender was wearing a grey and orange long sleeve top, long dark-coloured shorts and a large green backpack.

Investigators have released CCTV footage and an image of a man they believe can assist with their enquires.
