Police investigate Cranbourne North aggravated burglary

Police are appealing for public assistance following an aggravated burglary in Cranbourne North this morning during which two vehicles were stolen.

Casey Crime Investigation Unit detectives have been told two men gained entry to a Mountain View Boulevard home just before 6am.

The pair approached the three male occupants and demanded keys to vehicles parked on the property.

The victims handed over keys and the offenders went to the vehicles parked in the driveway and nature strip.

One of the victims then approached an offender who assaulted him with a hammer to the head.

The pair then fled in the victims' vehicles west along Mountain View Boulevard.

The stolen vehicles included a red Toyota Rav 4, registration 1MY 3QN; and a silver Toyota Camry sedan, registration WLW
