Police Investigate Crash At Mawson Lakes

Police are investigating a crash at Mawson Lakes last night.

Police and emergency services were called to Salisbury Highway, Mawson Lakes, near Elder Drive, at 6.15pm on Thursday 23 April after a van crashed into a BYD hatchback and then into a light pole.

The driver and passenger of the BYD, a 44-year-old man and a 68-year-old man, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to hospital.

The van driver, a 29-year-old woman from Parafield Gardens, was taken to hospital for assessment and to also have a blood sample taken.

Southbound lanes on Salisbury Highway were blocked from Elder Smith Road for several hours but reopened at 10.45pm.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Major Crash investigators attended to assist the investigation and examination of the scene.

Investigations into the crash are continuing.
