Police investigate Dallas assault

Broadmeadows police are investigating an assault in Dallas on 22 July, Victoria Police say.

It is believed the 44-year-old victim from Dallas was walking on Riggall Street and Blair Street with his nephew and friend both aged 14 years, when a car sped up to the roundabout about 4.40pm.

The victim called out to the driver to slow down and the driver got out of the vehicle and punched the victim in the face.

It is believed there was a passenger who stayed in the vehicle while the assault was occurring.

The victim was knocked to the ground and suffered a facial fracture and swelling as a result of the assault.

The offender then returned to the vehicle and drove off west on Riggall Street.

Police have released a facial composite image of a man who may be able to assist with their enquiries
