Police investigate death of man in Cobram

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the death of a man in Cobram overnight, 29 July.

Emergency services were called to Cobram-Koonoomoo Road just before 9pm after a passer-by located a seriously injured man on the road.

CPR was commenced but the man, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.

A male driver is currently assisting police with their enquiries.

Detectives are hoping to speak to anyone who may have seen the man walking between 8pm-9pm on Cobram-Koonoomoo Road from Cobram headed to Koonoomoo.

Specifically, anyone driving between 8.50pm and 9.00pm on Cobram-Koonoomoo Road.

Detectives are continuing to establish the exact circumstances of the man's death and investigations are ongoing.
