Police are investigating a deliberately lit house fire on Springfield Avenue in West Moonah this morning.
Around 9am, emergency services were called to reports of smoke coming from the house.
Tasmania Fire Service extinguished the fire in the kitchen and living areas.
Significant damage was caused to the interior house.
No injuries were reported.
