Police investigate double fatality in state's Southern Region

Police are currently at the scene of a fatal crash in the state's Southern Region.

Emergency services were called to the Princes Highway, near Bumbo Road, Bodalla, shortly before 4pm after reports a car and a truck collided.

On arrival officers found the driver of a 4WD utility and the driver of a 14 Tonne truck deceased.

The highway is blocked in both directions; diversions are now in place.

Officers from South Coast Police District will conduct a full investigation and a report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
