Police investigate Elwood assault

Moorabbin police are investigating an alleged assault which occurred in Elwood earlier this month, Victoria Police say.

Officers have been told that a 40-year-old Sandringham man was driving his ute along Glenhuntly Road about 6pm on Sunday 2 October.

He noticed another driver in a red Holden Commodore using his phone and decided to point out the error of his ways.

The two drivers stopped at the intersection of Glen Huntly Road and Marine Parade and the driver of the Commodore exited his vehicle.

He approached the Sandringham man and punched him in the face before returning to his car and driving off.

The 40-year-old man suffered minor injuries and reported the matter to police.

Investigators wish to speak anyone who witnessed or recorded the incident.
