Police are currently on scene at a car park in Epping following an altercation that left a teen with stab wounds tonight, Victoria Police say.
Police have been told two 17-year-old boys were walking through a shopping centre car park near Cooper Street when a vehicle pulled over just after 7pm.
Two males got out of the car and approached the teenagers before getting into an altercation and producing a weapon.
A 17-year-old Lalor boy received stab wounds to the upper body and was taken to hospital in a serious condition.
A 17-year-old Epping boy received minor injuries.
The offenders then fled the scene.
Whittlesea Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and are keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone that may have dash cam footage.
