Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a fatal car crash in Piries near Mansfield this morning.
Emergency services were called to Mansfield-Woods Point Road about 7am where a burnt-out vehicle was located.
It is believed the driver of the vehicle had lost control and crashed before the vehicle caught fire sometime before emergency services arrived.
All occupants inside the vehicle died at the scene.
Police are yet to establish how many people were inside the vehicle, and they are also yet to be formally identified.
Police are currently on scene investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and investigations are ongoing.
