Police investigate fatal collision in Braeside

Police are appealing for public assistance following a fatal collision that claimed the life of a 50-year-old man in Braeside this afternoon, Victoria Police say.

Police have been told a grey Toyota was travelling along Bate Drive about 3.05pm.

It is believed the Toyota utility was attempting to turn onto Governor Road when the collision occurred with a west-bound truck.

The driver, who was the only occupant of the Toyota, died at the scene.

No-one else was injured.

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating and are keen to speak to any witnesses that were in the area at the time of the collision.
