Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the circumstances following a fatal collision in Burrumbeet yesterday morning.
Emergency services were called to reports of a collision between a car and a truck on the Western Highway near the intersection of Remembrance Drive about 3am on Saturday, 25 October.
A female occupant of the car was treated by paramedics but died at the scene.
One woman in the car was taken to hospital with critical injuries.
Two other female passengers in the car were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The male driver of the car went to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The male driver of the truck stopped at the scene and was not injured.
Investigations are ongoing into the circumstances of the collision.
