Police are investigating a fatal collision in Goornong this afternoon.
It is believed the driver of a small silver hatchback was travelling along the Midland Highway when they lost control and collided with a truck and a ute about 2.45pm.
The driver of the hatchback and their passenger who are yet to be formally identified died at the scene.
The truck driver and the driver of the ute were not injured.
The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are yet to be determined and investigations are ongoing.
