Police are currently on scene investigating a fatal collision that claimed the life of a woman in Meredith this morning.
It is believed three cars collided at the intersection of the Midland Highway and McLeod Street just after 6am.
A female passenger inside one vehicle died at the scene.
She is yet to be formally identified.
The driver of another vehicle was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives will investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
