Police are currently at the scene of a fatal car crash in Mitchellstown, Victoria Police say.
It is believed a vehicle was travelling along Mitchellstown Road when it veered off the road and crashed into a fence just before 3am.
The driver, a 64-year-old man from Amherst died at the scene.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
