An investigation is underway following a fatal crash in Sydney's north.
About 1am (Monday 1 December 2025), emergency services responded to reports of a crash between a red Mitsubishi sedan and a white truck in the east bound lanes of Lane Cove Road, North Ryde.
The passenger in the car – a 38-year-old man - died prior to the arrival of emergency services.
The driver – a 45-year-old man - and another passenger – a 37-year-old woman - in the sedan were trapped in the vehicle until they were released by Fire and Rescue NSW.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated both the man and woman at the scene before they were taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
The truck driver – a 61-year-old man – was uninjured. He was taken to the same hospital for mandatory testing.
Officers from Ryde Police Area Command established a crime scene and the Crash Investigation Unit was in attendance.
