Police are on site and investigating following a fatal house fire in Dandenong this morning, Victoria Police say.
Emergency services were called to the Ann Street town-house just before 8am where a small child was located deceased.
Other occupants, including another small child are being treated for apparent non-life threatening injuries and the house was extensively damaged.
Police are unable to confirm ages or genders of those involved at this time, or the number of people present at the town-house.
A crime scene has been established until the cause of the fire can be determined.
Ann Street is blocked off to all traffic while the investigation continues.
