Police investigate fatal stabbing of inmate - Parklea

An investigation is underway after an inmate was fatally stabbed at a correctional facility in Sydney's north west today.

Just before 12.30pm (Wednesday 22 April 2020), emergency services were called to a correctional facility on Sentry Drive, Parklea, after reports of an assault.

A 33-year-old man was found suffering stab wounds and was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics but died at the scene.

Officers from Quakers Hill Police Area Command established a crime scene and detectives have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
