A 48-year-old Fawkner man has suffered injuries after a stabbing in Fawkner this morning, Victoria Police say.
Investigators have been told a man attended a religious facility on Williams Road about 11am.
He approached the 48-year-old in the foyer of the premises and struck him to the neck with a knife.
The offender then left the scene.
The victim was taken to hospital suffering non-life threatening injuries and the investigation is on-going.
