Bayside Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a fire at a kindergarten in Bentleigh this afternoon, Victoria Police say.
The small fire took place on the side of the Higgins Road building and only caused minor damage.
No one was injured during the incident but the fire is being treated a suspicious at this stage.
Police are hoping to speak to a number of teenagers that were in the area at the time.
One was on a bicycle and had a black back pack, three other teens were on foot.
The group were last seen headed toward a supermarket on Centre Road about 4.30pm.
