Police investigate firearms and cash stolen from Murdunna property

Police are investigating the theft of firearms, ammunition and cash from a property in Murdunna over the last week.

Between last Thursday and yesterday offenders entered a semi-rural property on the Arthur Highway and forcibly removed a gun safe from the property.

Contained within the stolen safe were three registered firearms (.22 calibre bolt action rifle, .243 calibre lever action rifle, .22 pistol) ammunition and a significant quantity of cash.

The occupants of the property were not home at the time of the burglary.
