Police investigate Footscray theft

Police are appealing for information following a theft in Footscray on 13 September, Victoria Police say.

Investigators have been told a female was crossing a car park on Raleigh Street when her shoulder bag was knocked to the ground.

As she bent to pick it up, a male youth grabbed the bag, which contained keys, bank cards and a wallet, and ran across the car park.

He was last seen running east on Raleigh Street towards Albert Street.

The male is described as about 150cm tall and was wearing dark pants and a black hoodie.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
