Homicide Squad detectives are investigating after a man was located with stab wounds in Heidelberg Heights this morning (28 February), Victoria Police say.
Emergency services were called to a Southern Road property about 12.50am, where a man was found inside.
The man, who is yet to be formally identified, was treated by paramedics but died at the scene.
A 48-year-old Heidelberg Heights man was arrested at the scene.
He is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
It is believed both parties were known to each other.
Police are yet to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the death and the investigation is ongoing.
