Police investigate Ironbark aggravated burglary

Central Victoria Response Unit detectives are investigating following an aggravated burglary in Ironbark near Bendigo last weekend, Victoria Police say.

Investigators have been told the occupant of a Bell Street address discovered an unknown male in the living area of their house about 9.45pm on Saturday.

The unknown male pulled up his shirt to cover his face and left through the back door before jumping the side gate and fleeing down Bell Street.

It is believed the male stole a set of car keys.

A short time later the man has returned to the property and attempted to steal a car parked in the driveway.

He set the car alarm off and ran to a nearby dark-coloured older model hatchback driven by a second unknown offender.

The car drove off down Bell Street before turning left into Casley Street.

The male is believed to be aged between 17-19 and is described as about 185cm tall with a thin to medium build.

It is believed he was wearing a black hoodie, red shirt, black flat-peaked cap, black pants and black boot-style skate shoes.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers.
