Police investigate Longwarry collision

Police are appealing for witnesses after a collision in Longwarry last night.

It is believed a silver SUV and a black motorcycle collided on the Princes Highway, approximately 500 metres east from the Sand Road interchange, about 9.40pm on Thursday, 15 February.

The solo rider was air lifted to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A section of the Princes Highway remained closed for approximately three hours.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision is ongoing.
