Police investigate Malvern collision

Caulfield police are investigating a collision in Malvern this morning which left a 61-year-old man with non-life threatening injuries, Victoria Police say.

The man was travelling along Dandenong Road in a silver Mazda 2 about 6.15am when it approached the intersection of Glenferrie Road.

His vehicle collided with a burgundy Mitsubishi Magna, which had also entered the intersection from Glenferrie Road.

The 61-year-old from Braybrook was taken to hospital with head and chest injuries.

The driver of the second vehicle, a 33-year-old Caulfield North man, did not sustain any injuries.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be determined.

Police are appealing for anyone with information or who may have witnessed the collision to contact Constable Jacobs or Constable Ivanov at Caulfield Police Station on 9524 9500, or Crime Stoppers.
