Police investigate man's injuries, South Australia

Police are seeking information from the public as they investigate how a young man sustained serious injuries in the city last week.

A member of the public found the distressed man lying in a garden bed on King William Street, Adelaide, near bus stop A3 (just north of Government House) about 6pm on Wednesday 30 January and alerted emergency services.

The man was taken by ambulance to the Royal Adelaide Hospital where it was revealed he has sustained a fractured skull and bleeding on the brain. He remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.

The circumstances surrounding the man's injuries are not known.

He is 24-years-old and is described as of Middle Eastern appearance and was wearing a white t-shirt with a blue/purple logo on the front, dark trousers and carrying a brown backpack.
