Police investigate Mildura aggravated burglaries

Mildura Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating, following a series of aggravated burglaries at residential homes across Mildura on February 9.

The break-ins occurred on Thirteenth Street, San Mateo Avenue and Avocado Street between the hours of 3.30am and 5.30am.

At the first address, the offender attended a home on Thirteenth Street around 3am while the victim was sleeping, but nothing was stolen.

At the second address, it is believed the offender attended a home on San Mateo Avenue around 3.45am while the victim was sleeping on and took the victim's car keys.

The offender returned to the same address later and stole the victim's work van from their driveway.

At the third address, it is understood the male offender attended a home on Avocado Street around 5.20am while the victim was sleeping and stole jewellery, handbag, house keys and car keys.

The victim confronted the male offender and he fled the scene, last seen heading towards San Mateo Avenue.

There were no reports of injuries.
