Police investigate Moonee Ponds credit card theft

Moonee Ponds police are appealing for public assistance to identify a thief who used stolen credit cards across Melbourne's northwest.

Investigators have been told credit cards were stolen from a vehicle parked on The Strand Moonee Ponds sometime between 6pm on 25 February and 5.30am on 26 February.

The victim's credit cards were subsequently used at various service stations and convenience stores in the Coburg, Glenroy, Strathmore, Niddrie, Essendon, Broadmeadows areas in the following hours.

Police have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
